MRS. ADALINE BARNHART DIES IN HOSPITAL.
Funeral Services To Be Held Here Thursday Afternoon.
Mrs. Adaline Barnhart, 57, widow of Frank Barnhart, died yesterday morning at a hospital in Fulton, MO after a long illness.
The body was brought to the Dee Riley Funeral Home here, where funeral services are to be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Lane. Burial services will be held at 3 o'clock at Wilsontown Cemetery, southeast of Gibbs. The body is lying in state at the funeral home until time for the funeral.
Mrs. Barnhart was born in Missouri March 17, 1877, a daughter of Nelson and Mary Cole. She was married to Frank P. Barnhart and lived for several years on a farm east of Gibbs. After his death 16 years ago she moved to Kirksville.
Mrs. Barnhart was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Waffle, Mrs. Lane Reesman and Miss Genevieve Barnhart, of Kirksville, and Mrs. Albert Harper of Hannibal; four sisters, Mrs. George Brion, Kalispell, Mont., Mrs. Lydia Sholly, Mrs., Lynn Sykes and Mrs. Robert Bennett, Kirksville, and one brother, Webb Cole, Iowa City, IA; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Mrs. Cora James, Mrs. Clara Gherke and Lou Cole and one brother, Roy, preceded her in death.
