Memorial to a confederate soldier and member of St. John:

PVT. Adam Barnhardt enlisted as a private in CO H, 57th NC on 4 Jul. 1862 in Cabarrus County, NC at age 29. On 30 Sept 1862 he was reported sick in Richmond hospital with rubella. He was wounded at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 Dec. 1862. He died in a Richmond hospital on 24 Dec. 1862 and is probably buried in the confederate section of Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond, VA.
