Daughter of Alzana Prine-Bird-Baker-Harper. Half siblings: Frances "Fannie" E Harper-Inman, George Marion Harper & Albert Franklin Harper F/G memorial #130902160. Married George E Barnett June 13, 1880 Cass County, Missouri. According to her marriage license and death certificate, her father's name was William Bird and he was born in Scotland. Amanda Bird and George Ellis Barnett married each other twice. No divorce record has been found.

The Lincoln Evening Journal Thursday April 25, 1929

"Amanda Barnett, sixty-three, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 1741 Q Street. She had lived in Lincoln twenty-five years. Surviving are a son, William C. of Lincoln; two brothers, George Harper of Sioux City, Louisiana, and Albert Harper of Omaha, Nebraska, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Inman; living in California.
