Virginia Ann (LYONS) BARNETT was born 27 Apr 1835 in Hancock County, KY to James W. and Agnes (CORLEY) LYONS. She married James Newton BARNETT Aug 1855 at Hickory Creek, Fayette Co, IL. In 1879 she and her family moved in a covered wagon to Piedmont, Wayne Co, MO. On a chilly, frosty morning, the last week in February, she started to visit her son, Isaac and family, and while putting on her shoes on the porch of her home, she suffered a stroke of paralysis, dying on March 7, 1907.
