Ruth Ann Barnett, 81, of Pierceton, Indiana died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Millers Merry Manor in Columbia City, Indiana. She was born September 6, 1929 in Lafayette, Indiana to Edward and Lydia (Smith) Rogers. She married Dalton J. Barnett on January 1, 1950. She worked at Heckman Bindery and Chester Elementary School both in North Manchester. She was a member of New Foundations Ministries in Wabash. Ruth enjoyed knitting, crocheting, her flowers and especially loved her family and dogs. She lived several years in North Manchester.

She is survived by her husband, Dalton J. Barnett of Columbia City; 3 children, Brad (Diana) Barnett of Green River, Wyoming, Jeff L. (Cindy) Barnett of Versailles, Indiana, and Tana M. (Jr.) Blocher of Pierceton; 17 Grandchildren, Michael Barnett of Casper, Wyoming, and Katie (Dusty) McPhail of Grand Junction, Colorado, Andy (Rebekah) Barnett of Indianapolis, Indiana, Aaron Barnett of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joe (Rachel) Barnett of Detroit, Michigan, Renee Barnett of San Diego, California, Vicki Barnett, Scott Barnett, Danny Barnett, and Bryce Barnett, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, Audrey Barnett, and Rachelle Barnett, both of Indianapolis, Eric (Melissa) Blocher of Churubusco, Indiana, Tracy (Shelley) Blocher of Warsaw, Indiana, Gabe (Krissy) Blocher, Kim (James) King, and Sarah Blocher, all of Pierceton; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Jim Rogers who died in 2009. Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash, on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:30am with Rick Tolley and Jeff Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
