Mabel Conger, 93, died in Price on November 4, 1996.

She was born Nov. 9, 1902 in Ogden, a daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Pickford Barnett. She married Fay Colton in 1927 in Gunnison, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died January 4, 1942. She then married Enos W. Conger. He died in November 1976.She was an elementary school teacher in Minersville for three years, and then taught in the Carbon School District for over 30 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held positions in all the auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and Delta Kappa Gamma.

She is survived by two sons: Farrell Colton, Price; and Nyle (Marilyn) Colton, West Point; a daughter, Joyce (Duane) Pyper, South Jordan; a step son, Robert (Arlene) Conger, Orem; nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; and a brother, Floyd Barnett, Ogden. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, daughter-in-law Rae Colton, and a grandchild.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 8, at the Price 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 300 West 500 So. at noon. Friends may call at Fausett Mortuary in Price on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. or at the chruch one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
