Margaret Sanders Barnett, 62, a resident of Sugar Creek Road, Carlisle, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 2, 1995, at her residence. She was born in Nicholas County on October 26, 1932, to the late Dean and Pevy Kenny Sanders. She was a retired nurse's aid at Harrison Memorial Hospital and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by four brothers. Survivors include: her husband, Grover William "Billy" Barnett; a son, Larry Wayne Sanders, Nicholas County; three daughters, Brenda Lawson and Donna Yazell, both of Bourbon County, and Connie Slade, Harrison County; a brother, James Sanders, Paris; four sisters, Alma Saunders, Bourbon County, Maryetta Lemay, Cynthiana, Addalee Green, Paris, and Evelyn Spegal, Harrison County; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 4, at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gardner and Bishop Lee R. Gifford. Burial was in the Carlisle Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Cameron, Jason Cameron, Joe Yazell, Shawn Mitchell, John Slade, Hall Lawson and Kenneth Lawson. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Kearns and June Kearns.
