Mrs. Daisy C. Coblentz
Mrs. Daisy C. Coblentz, 90, formerly of West Cherry Street, New Paris, died Thursday morning at Oak Lawn Nursing Home in Eaton. She was the widow of Clayton R. Coblentz, former Superintendent of Preble County Schools, and state representative.
She was a retired teacher, having taught in Jackson School in Campbellstown at one time. She was a member of the New Paris Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years: the Tuesday Club of New Paris, and O.E.S., New Paris.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Coblentz Penland of New Paris; two sons, Lawrence E. of Richmond, Ind., and John J. of Ft. Wayne, Ind.,; one brother, Marvin Barnet of Bellbrook; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grand-children.
Services for Mrs. Coblentz were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kessler Funeral Home in New Paris with Rev. Wendall Pontius officiating. Interment was in Spring Lawn Cemetery at New Paris.
