Jane Frances Baker, 87, of Huntington, formerly of Weirton and Milton, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Madison Park.
Jane was born on July 3, 1923, in Wolf Summit, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Reinsel Barnes.
She spent most of her life in Weirton, W.Va., where she worked at Cove Elementary School, and Weirton Steel Co.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Weirton and St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Huntington.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, Margaret M Barnes, Anna C. Griffin, Isabel M. Genevie, Mary J. Carmody Murdock, Regina H. Oyster and Helen R. Barnes.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roy D. Baker Sr., a son and daughter-in-law, Roy D. "Don" Baker Jr. and Victoria Ann Baker, three grandsons, Ryan Baker of Huntington, Christopher Baker of Denver, Colo., and Patrick Baker of Orlando, Fla.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church with Fr. Livinus Uba and Fr. Bill Petro. Entombment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.
The Wake Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011, at the Reger Funeral Home.
