|Birth: ||Dec. 11, 1856|
|Death: ||Oct. 8, 1922|
Clara was the daughter of Wilson and Rhoda Williams Barnes. She married Isaac Allen Barker, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Stone Barker, on October 9, 1873 in Jessamine County. The couple were the parents of Robert Lee, Sarah Margaret, Lizzie, Minnie, Everett, Alma, Ora Pearl and George Thomas Barker.
•Obituary-God in His Infinite Wisdom called Mrs. Clara Barker to depart from life Sunday, October 8. She was taken suddenly ill and only lived about an hour. All was done for her that loving hands could do, but God said, "No, My hands are in this Work," so when the shadows of the evening were stealing across the sky, her spirit took flight to realms above.
She was all a true woman could be. She lived right and died trusting in her Lord. She gave her heart to God in early life, uniting with the Mt. Hebron church. She was 68 years, 9 months and 4 days old. She leaves an aged husband and seven children to mourn her loss.
Remember He said, all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
Burial took place at the Mt. Hebron cemetery Monday afternoon, the services being conducted by the Rev. I.W. Manley.
•Card of Thanks.
To the many friends and neighbors who were so kind and thoughtful, during the illness and after the death of Mrs. Clara Barker, we wish to express our sincere thanks. The Family.
