At 8:30 Tuesday night at St. Marys Hospital, occured the death of James C. Barnes of apoplexy, he having been a sufferer for 10 years past. Mr. Barnes was well known in the early days of Saginaw, he being a boat captain, though of late years, however, his affliction has forced upon him an inconspicous place. He has lived in Saginaw for 24 years past and leaves his wife who has been his helpmate for over a score of years. Mr. Barnes was 44 years of age and born in Scotland.
The remains were taken to the family home 715 Union street, and the funeral will be held from St. Andrews Church, time will be announced later.
