Mrs. Stella Barnes, wife of Bryan Barnes, died at her home on Charlotte Heights August 16, 1960. She was the daughter of the late John and Ida Clark Roedeger. She was born in Kenton County, but lived most of her life in Grant County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arnold D. Risen and two grandchildren, Barbara and Dennis Risen, Rochester, New York. Mrs. Barnes was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church. Burial in Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, Ky.

Mrs. Stella Barnes Dunn, widow of Lewis Owen Barnes who died in 1935, passed away January 16, 1975 at Ridgeview Nursing Home. Her home was in Covington; she also owned a farm on Barnes Pike in Grant County. She was the daughter of the late Asa and Emonia Frakes Ashcraft, and was preceded in death by one son, William, who died in 1928. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia. Survivors are two nieces and two nephews: Mrs. Evelyn Clark, Cincinnati, Mrs. Elnora Walker, Covington, John McKnight, Independence and Robert Ashcraft of Covington. Bearers were Glenmore Bennett, Herbert Caldwell, Alton Woodyard, Myron McKnight, Mike Stanley and Dennis Stanley. Burial in Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, KY.
