Mr. Quinton "Jack" Barnes, 83, passed away on December 28, 2006 at Hospice Savannah after a long illness. Mr. Barnes was one of six children born to Dennis and Fannie Mae Beasley Barnes and grew up in Bulloch County. Mr. Barnes was a veteran, serving his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and serving during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was an accomplished carpenter by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Barnes of Savannah; four daughters, Terri Jo, Tara, Becky and Gina and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Blondine Barnes Kicklighter of Hinesville and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 from 2 pm. until 3 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Elder W. I. Tidwell officiating.
Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
