Cordy Barnes was the son of Henry Barnes and Mary "Polly" Stodghill. He served in the Confederate Army: 30th Regt. Volunteer Inf., Co. "A" "Butts Co. Invincibles." He was mustered out May 17, 1862 due to disability.
