Mrs. Camie Barnes Joyner, age 31, and her husband Stephen, died Friday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in savannah, GA. The couple was expecting their second child. Camie was born in Savannah, Georgia and graduated from Groves High School in 2000. She was employed for eight years with Vantage Freight in Savannah and had been a homemaker for the past two years. She was a faithful member of the Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church in Claxton where she was active in the children's and nursery ministries. Camie loved to garden and spend time working in her yard. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Levis Barnes, Jr (#105678385), a niece, Skyler Barnes (#105678718.) and her grandparents, Romie and Lucy Myers and Camie and Carolyn Barnes. Surviving are a daughter, Dakota Joyner of Brooklet; her mother, Linda "Lin" Barnes of Brooklet; father and step-mother, Steve and Shelia Barnes of Fitzgerald; brother and Sister-in-law, Travis and Mandy Barnes of Claxton and her nieces, Alisa, Shai, Camlin, Olivia and Selena and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tina and Carol Joyner of Brooklet. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5;00pm until 8;00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Few officiating, assisted by Elder Howard Rushing. Interment will be in the Corinth-Leefield Cemetery in Brooklet. Pallbearers will be Tommy Waters, Seth Waters, Kevin Sowell, Robert Noggle, Chris Nelson and William Emely.
