Deceased: Katherine L. Bancroft; Date: December 13, 2005
CHESAPEAKE - Katherine Louise Bancroft, 45, of the 4400 block of Bainbridge Blvd., passed away Dec. 10, 2005. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Katherine D. and Frank W. Barnes Sr.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Raymond E. Bancroft; two daughters, Crystal L. Martin and her husband Buddy of Chesapeake and Danna M. Michaud and her husband Michael of Sabillasville, Md.; three sisters, Georgia Jones of Chesapeake, Mary Bancroft of Norfolk and Joanne O'Bright of Texas; and two brothers, William Dozier and Frank Barnes Jr., both of Chesapeake. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Michael and Mackinzie Michaud, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and the Roscoe children. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Barnes and a grandchild, Kiara Bancroft.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at London Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lamar Sentell officiating. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23513.
