Mrs. Beverley Olive Wrin Barnes of Genoa, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 25, 2009.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Hingham, Massachusetts. She grew up and attended school in Nova Scotia, Canada. She attended Holly Springs United Methodist Church and was a Homemaker. She was a former Ohio Track and Field Official and a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Survivors include her husband, Captain Robert Barnes USMC (Ret) of Genoa, Arkansas, four sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Betty Barnes of Louisville, KY, Gary and Jean Barnes of Stafford, VA, Paul and Susan Barnes and Keith and Tamara Barnes of Washington D.C., a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jack Jackson of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, seven nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives in Canada and the United States.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Holly Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Rhodes, Rev. Bob Manley, and Rev. Douglas Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Virginia under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
