HEBER, March 9.—(Special)—Margaret Betty Barnes, three [two] month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barnes of Center Creek died Saturday night [February 26 1927, incorrect on headstone, see death certificate for date of death and burial, and Utah State Burials]. She had seemed as well as usual when the family retired for the night, but when they awakened in the morning was dead in bed. Whether the babe was smothered or whether death was due to other causes is not known.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon [February 28, 1927, see death certificate for burial date] with Bishop Bennett Lindsay in charge. Music was by a mixed chorus. Prayers were by Elmer Sweat and J. Howard Thomas. Speakers were Prest. G. Frank Ryan, John J. Peterson and Bishop Lindsay.
