Clarence Clifton Barnes

C. C. Barnes, age 52, died at his home at Sulphur Bluff, Texas, route two, Friday morning as the result of a heart attack.

He was born October 27, 1892 in Saltillo, Hopkins County, the son of the late A. H. Barnes and Lula Barnes, but moved to West Texas near Abilene at the age of seven and resided in that vicinity until five years ago, when he returned to Hopkins County to live. He operated a farm near Sulphur Bluff.

Mr. Barnes is survived by a daughter, Miss Nan Barnes of Abilene, his mother, Mrs. Lula Barnes, Merkel, route 2; one brother, Elmer Barnes, Merkel, and one sister, Mrs. Cleo Baughman of Oklahoma City.
