Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late William Timothy Timmons and Eunice Hodge Timmons. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Calvary Bible Church and was a retired secretary.
Surviving are two sons, William Harvin Barnes and wife, Lynda, of Wedgefield and Thomas Wallace Barnes and wife, Mary L., of Columbia; four grandchildren, William Harvin Barnes II, Jennifer LeRoux, Christopher B. Barnes and Tammy Benton; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. John Hall officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 6285 McLaurin Road, Wedgefield.
