Joseph H. Barnes of 607 Lake Ave, Lakemont, died unexpectely at 7.30 a.m. today, Feb. 19, 1970, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1904, in Altoona, a son of George and Hanna (Gault) Barnes, and March 3, 1927, in Hollidaysburg married Edna Skipper.

Surviving are his wife, two children, Walter R. of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. Geraldine Potts of Odessa, Tex.; seven grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters, Francis and Mrs. Sara Duck of Hollidaysburg, Edgar of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Catharine Grasser of Greenwood, Mrs. Georgianna Wyerman and Mrs. Alice Leidy of Duncansville.

Mr. Barnes had been employed by Altoona Pipe and Steel Co., retiring in January 1968.

Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home from 5 to 10 p.m. tomorrow and after 9 a.m. Saturday.

BARNES - Funeral services for Joseph H. Barnes of Lakemont, will be held in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Donald Main. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m Saturday.
