Pach Ann 'Simmons" Barnes

HOUSTON – Mrs. Pach Ann Barnes departed this life December 6, 2005, at her home with her loving family at her side.

Funeral Services will be 12 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2005, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 9302 County Road #318 in Brazoria, Texas. The Rev. Lonnie Dews, pastor and the Rev. G. W. Singleton, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. Burial will follow services at St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Mainland Funeral Home of La Marque, Texas.

Mrs. Barnes, a homemaker, was born August 31, 1918, in Brazoria, Texas to the late Monroe and Mary Ann Simmons Ward. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Texas City.

Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas Charles Barnes; a daughter, Jerlene Grice; four siblings, Florence Ward, Darcus Gee, J. T. Ward and Dehill Ward; and two grandchildren, Chester Beverly IV and Taylor Caldwell.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted and loving family, her children, William (Nola) Caldwell of Houston, Ann Caldwell of Texas City, Nancy Caldwell of Galveston, Charlie Steen Caldwell of Texas City, Lee Otis (Cynthia) Caldwell of Freeport and Betty Jean (Sylvester) Hatter of Houston; one brother, Alvin Ward of Galveston, 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
