FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CRUCES WOMAN
Mrs. Cecilia Ascarate Was Pioneer Resident
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecilia Ascarate were held at 3 pm yesterday at St. Genevieve's Church, La Cruces. Burial was in San Jose Cemetery.
Mrs. Ascarate died in a local hospital following a four-day illness.
She was a member of a New Mexico pioneer family and granddaughter of the late John D. Barncastle who became a Las Cruces resident shortly aafter the Civil War.
