•William A. Barnard
BARTON-William A. Barnard 39, of here, died last night in Baker VA Center, Martinsburg where he had been a patient since July 6.
A native of Franklin, Md., he was a son of Mrs. Margaret (Conn) Barnard, of Franklin, and the late William S. Barnard.
Mr. Barnard was a veteran of World War II and was employed as an assistant foreman at the Luke Plant of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company where he worked 20 years. He was a member of Barton Methodist Church, the Board of
Stewards of the church, Allegany Lodge 157, AF&AM; Chapter 37, Order of Eastern Star; Post 189, American Legion of Barton, and Luke Local 676, United Paper Workers of America.
Besides his mother, he, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice (Bucklew) Barnard; two daughters both at home; a son, at home; three sisters and three brothers.
The body is at the residence.
