MUNCIE-Margaret Read Barlow, 99, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Muncie. She was born June 16, 1912 in Delaware County, the daughter of Samuel L. and Opal (Selvey) Read. She graduated from Albany High School and attended Indiana Business College in Muncie.
Mrs. Barlow was formerly employed at Beatrice Foods for 37 years prior to her retirement in 1968. She was a charter member of the Soroptimist Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Barlow, who died in 2004; and her brother, Walter Henry Read.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parson Mortuary. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery in Albany. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.
