He is survived by his wife, Ethel Andrews Barlow; three children, Francis M. Barlow Jr., E. Michael Barlow and Valerie B. Gordon, all of Ruther Glen; four brothers, Lewis W. Barlow, Jr., Henry C. Barlow, C. Ray Barlow, and Anthony E. Barlow, all of Ruther Glen; three sisters, Dorothy B. Bullock of Mechanicsville, Iola B. Utz of Amelia, and Shirley B. Minter of Powhatan; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11am on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at Concord Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, VA. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
