[Obit] Mrs. Charles H. Barklow, died at Medford, Dec.3, 1936. Born in Decatur,Ill. and at the age of 3 years was then living with her foster parents, Mr. & Mrs. L.D. Wagner of that section. The Wagners came west, and while cleaning fish from a scow, accidentally fell into the Coquille River near the present Walter Laird ranch and drowned. Mrs. Wagner later married F.D.S. Anderson and became the step mother of Mrs. Charles Rackleff. The deceased married Elder Charles Barklow Apr.9,1891 in the house now occupied by Mr. & Mrs. Charles Rackleff on cannery road near Reeds ford. Survivors: husband; three daughters: Mrs. Rachel Michael of Olympia,Wash.; Mrs. Zelia Williams and Mrs. Golda Edwards, Medford, and several grandchildren. Buried Norway. [MPH-12/3/1936]
