Ada Dorcas Shook was the daughter of Walter Scott Shook and Nellie Lewellyn Shook. She married William M. Bilbrey on on July 1, 1914, in Temple, Bell Co., Texas. Her second husband was Walter E. Barham on June 9, 1927 in Temple, Bell Co., Texas.

Mrs. W.E. Barham, 67, died in a Temple hospital Thursday morning at 4:15 a.m. after an extended illness. She was born in Temple and lived in Temple all of her life. She has made her home at 708 N. 2nd St. She is survived by her husband; a niece, Christine Chapman of Memphis, Tennessee, and a host of relatives. She was a member of the memorial Baptist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary, ORC, and the Ruth Sunday School Class of Memorial Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the Hewett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Brown and the Rev. R.B. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Foyt, Bill Kelley, Raymond Burns, Green Martin, Homer Patterson and Roy Langston. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Ruth Sunday School Class of the Memorial Baptist Church.
