Betty Jean Barger, 90, of Ashland, Ore. passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at her home. She was born January 1, 1924 in Ashland, Ore. to George and Alta (Jarvis) Nichols. She lived her entire life in the Rogue Valley. In 1942 she graduated from Ashland High School.
On April 2, 1945 in Ashland, Ore., she married Laurence L. Barger. They had two sons, David and Dale; two grand-daughters, Stephanie and Rosie; and one grandson, Jessie.
Betty was a life member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland. She was also a member of the Home Extension and Good Sam Club. They traveled extensively with their camper and fifth wheel until Laurence's death in 2004.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald, and a nephew, George.
Private interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, Oregon.
