Farm Accident Kills Nuckolls County Farmer

Albert Bargen, 54, a well-known farmer, was killed about 6:45 last Wednesday evening when the Stackmover he was working with collapsed and pinned him underneath. He was killed instantly. The accident occurred near his farm home seven miles north and two and one-half miles east of Superior.

Mr. Bargen and his wife had moved two stacks of hay and he went back to the field northeast of their house to get another stack as she was preparing supper. When he failed to return, she went to the field where she found the tractor running, but couldn't find him. She immediately called neighbors for help. They located his body underneath the stack of hay.

Dec. 11, 1945, he was married to Marie Thayer at her home near Nora. To this union were born two daughters, Connie and Janice. Marie died July 19, 1970.
