She was a lifetime resident of the Cadams community and was a native of Nuckolls county.
Mrs. Barfknecht is survived by her husband, nine daughters and one son. They are Mrs. Lillian Holum, Mrs. Florence Yurkas and Miss Viola Barfknecht, all of Chicago; Mrs. Velma Parker, Mrs. Evelyn Mussman, Miss Vivian Barfknecht and Harold Barfknecht, all of Denver; Miss Arcille Barfknecht of San Francisco, Calif.; Miss Eula Beth and Miss Allene Barfknecht at home.
Also surviving are four brothers: Henry and Frank Meyer of Nelson, Fred Meyer of Oak and Charles Meyer of Camas, Wash.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Smyrna Lutheran Church and burial will be at Nelson.
