Funeral Services for Mrs. Mertice I Bardwell, 78 were held Monday, June 27 at South Side Baptist Church with Rev. James N. Purcell and Rev. E T Earnest officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Bardwell of Indianapolis, Indiana; two children, W.D. Whidden of Arcadia and Mrs. Melba Howe of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Roberts of California and Ruth Burhans of Felda, Florida.
Pallbearers were Henry Graham, Chester Roberts, Bill Reynolds, Clifford Albritton, Vergil Whte, and Jack Bretton. Interment was in Joshua Creek Cemetery. Robarts-Grady Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
