Alice L. Bardo, 73, of Twp. Rd. 104, Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Wednesday, September 19, 2001 in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

She was born in Pine Summit, PA on June 4, 1928, the daughter of the late Wm. Clyde & Sarah E. Gordner Long. She graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore, MD in 1945 and the Baltimore School of Cosmetology in 1946. She resided in Lancaster and Springfield prior to moving here in 1974.

She served as a home manager for TR Residential Homes in Cardington until retiring in 1994. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served as the food service coordinator for many years and established the end of the month meal program. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, Beta Progress, Garden Club, and the Morrow County Kennel Club.

She is survived by her husband B. Clair Bardo, whom she married August 27, 1949; a son and daughter-in-law Michael & Judith Bardo of Bradford, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law Marilyn & Skip Turner of Mt. Gilead, OH, and Suzanne Bardo & Lonnie Brown of Edison, OH; 4 grandchildren Michelle & Mark Johnson, Gabrielle "Brandi" & Christopher Clark, Beth & Bob Fitzpatrick and J.W. Turner; four great grandchildren Victoria, Chloe, Caden & Madison; and a sister Helen Bogusky of Mt. Gilead, OH.
