Sylvia E. Butterworth Of Aston, PA Sylvia E. Butterworth, died on March 27, 2012. Born to the late Francis and Alice McKim Barder, she was raised in Chester, PA. Mrs. Butterworth was a resident of Aston for the past 47 years, previously residing in Chester. She was employed as a secretary with DuPont for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed crafts, dancing, sewing and knitting and at one time was a member of several knitting clubs. She was also known for making stained glass. Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband George W. Butterworth who died in 1956 and 4 siblings, Ray Barder, Mildred Reid, Hazel Chapman and Lula Durst. Survivors: Children Darlene H. Hartsell and husband Charles of Aston, PA, Gary Butterworth and wife Linda of Upper Chichester, PA and Jeanne Butterworth of Aston, PA; 4 grandchildren Gary Butterworth Jr., Denise Corcoran, Charles Hartsell and Dana Jelepis; 11 great grandchildren. Services: Saturday 10 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Visitation: Saturday 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. Contributions: Alzheimer's Association , Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
