We gather today to celebrate a special blessing from God. This is the sentiment we voice as we consider the life of Jr. He still remains a blessing in the minds and hearts family and friends.
On Thanksgiving day, the Lord dispatched his angel and his soul was suddenly lifted from his body and ushered into his presence.
He was a former member of Oakville Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Richmond Savage.
He was graduate of Central High School and Memphis State University.
He was loyal and dedicated worker at R.C.C. Freight Company.
Those who remember his love and gratitude and cherish his menory includes his mother, Juanita Barber Towles (Clinton) of Memphis, TN; his father, Jeff Barber of Sardis, MS; two daughters, LaToya Davis and Porshia Barber, both of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Edwin Barber (Dorrine) of Bolingbrook, IL and Clinton Antwain Towles of Memphis, TN; one grandson, Makhi D. Barber; two sister, his grandmother, Geneva Jackson of Sardis, MS; his aunts, Lona B. Vaughan, Minister Annette Lee, Eddie M. Hibbler, Josephine Goodwin, Bessie M. Goodwin and Ora Lee Goodwin; his uncle, Joe Henry Goodwin (Sallie); a very special friend, Aumeisha Harvey of Conroe, TX; as Jeff called them his friend to the end: Gerald Garrett, Arnest Martin, Charles Quarles, and Enoch Allen Nolen; a host of other relatives and friends.
