requiem Mass for Paul Joseph Barbarisi, 76, of Tyler will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint, with Father Tim Kelly officiating.

Burial will follow in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Barbarisi passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

He was born July 30, 1934, in Everett, Mass., to Constantine and Leona Fisher Barbarisi.

As a child, Paul served as an altar boy and then in his later years sang in the church choir and was an altar server in Malden, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul is survived by his loving family, including brothers, Dr. Charles Barbarisi and wife Cindy of Lecanto, Fla., and Dr. Leonard Barbarisi and wife Bonnie of Tyler; nieces, Mary Lee Hazard and husband Greg and their family, Alexis Hazard, Sarah Hazard Hall and husband Shawn, Jennifer Hazard, Holly Hazard Campbell and husband Jon and their son, Gregory Wayne Campbell; and Susan Rossman and husband Bryan and their son, Cameron Eastman; nephews, John Gilbert and wife Cheryl and their daughter, Jordan, Matthew Gilbert and wife Nicole and their daughter, Victoria, Ryan Barbarisi and wife Lisa and their children, Nicholas and Angelina Barbarisi, and Eric Barbarisi and wife Lyn.

Pallbearers will be John Gilbert, Matthew Gilbert, Bryan Rossman, Greg Wingrove, Greg Hazard and Jerry Blackburn.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, with rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, 75703.
