ST. JOSEPH, La. - Services for Freddie James Baragona Sr., 76, of St. Joseph, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Antony Aelavanthara officiating.
Burial will be in the Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
He was born and lived in St. Joseph all of his life, was a Navy Veteran of World War II, was a retired lumber broker and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mr. Baragona was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Head Baragona.
Survivors include two sons, Freddie James Baragona Jr. of Ruston and Frankie Joseph Baragona of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Baragona of St. Joseph; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Gray, Michael Vizard, Irby Gamble, Ryan Hestle, Winn Blanche and Roger Jaubert.
Honorary pallbearer will be George Bryan.
