Hersel O. Banning, 60, of 4100 1/2 Donald, Bethany, an oil driller, died Monday at St. Anthony Hospital. Services will be at 10;30 a.m. Wednesday at the Abernathy Funeral Home, Crescent, with burial in Crescent Cemetery.

Born in Ellis County, he was a member of the Crescent Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Wendel, Garden City; a brother, Aubrey, Lamont; a sister, Delta Johnson, 2524 N. Hammond, Bethany; and his father, Fred Banning, Oklahoma City.
