Banning of Shelbyville, who passed away at 3:05 a.m. Saturday in the Decatur Memorial Hospital. Rev. Vernon Parsons, assisted by Rev. Robert Litteral, conducted the service. Mrs. Betty Lockart played organ selections. Pall bearers were Harold Smith, Wesley Robertson, Richard Soldner, Noel Pierson, T. A. Moore and Lawrence R. Gordon. Burial was in Mound Cemetery at Cowden. Mr. Banning was born July 12, 1903, in Shelby County, the son of Charles N. and Arwilda Oller Banning. He was married to Mona Wonus. He leaves his wife, Mona; one son, Charles Eddy Banning of St. Elmo; four grandchildren, Diane, Kim, Kerry and Julie Banning; and one brother, Fred Banning of Lakewood.
