WIFE OF BILLY W. BANNER
Frances C. Banner , 61, died Saturday ( Dec. 12, 1998 ) at her residence.
Mrs. Banner was born Dec. 15, 1936 in Washington County, Va., a daughter of the late Hal and Ellen Talbert Clark. She was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College in Bristol , Va. , and was retired from the Kingsport Press in Kingsport . She was a very active member of the Gate City Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hal Clark Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Bill Banner , Weber City, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Shaun and Lisa Banner , Southhampton, N.J.; a granddaughter, Sarah Katelyn Banner ; and a grandson, John William Banner ; two sisters, Dorothy Leonard, Abingdon, Va., and Nancy Tate, Bland, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Heintzleman officiating.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Banner Family Cemetery , Dungannon , Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
