Alburon Banks, 46 a resident of Cleveland, TN, went to join his heavenly Father, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at SkyRidge Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, TN, and graduated from Rhea County High School, where he played football and basketball.

He attended Chapel Hill College in Chapel Hill, NC, served in the U.S. Air Force, and later received his certificate in air condition and repair. After moving to Cleveland, he managed a Recovery Outreach Substance Abuse Center and was employed as supervisor at International Auto Components in Dayton. He was a member of Green's Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Charleston, TN, where he served as Sunday school superintendent. He received a certificate in theology from the Interdenominational Technology Center of Atlanta, GA. His favorite pastime was cooking and fishing. He is preceded in death by his father, John Logan; brother, Jerry Banks; and grandmother, Louella West.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Griselda; stepchildren: Shaneene and Rodrick Patton; stepgrandchildren: Emanuel Tucker and Jinero Bryant, all of Cleveland; his mother, Katherine Banks Logan; six sisters: Brenda Sharp, Caroline Wilkerson, Lucinda Banks, Angella (Robert) Matthew, all of Dayton, Janice (Charles) Smith of Decatur, GA, and Dianna (Rodney) Billups of Chattanooga, TN; two brothers: Michael Banks and Alonzo (Tamera) Banks of Dayton; his mother-in-law, Edna White, three sisters-in-law: Verona (Phil) Bazel, Natacha (Andy) Hudgins and Franchesca White; brother-in-law, Jesse White all of Cleveland; special aunt, Robbie Wilkerson of Dayton; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Body may be viewed Friday, March 28, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street, Cleveland.

Family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2008, at noon with the service to follow visitation at 1 p.m. at St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 151 Short St. The Rev. Rhonda S. Westfield will be officiating. Dr. Rev. Harry M. Johnson will be the eulogist. Interment will be at Fort Hill Cemetery.
