Alma was the daughter of Laura(Lula) Trent Hall and Mason Hall. She was born and raised in Eastern Ky and lived her life there..Alma was my grandma Effie's younger sister. She used to stay with my grandma some. They would get along pretty good for a few days then their back and forth banter would get old and Alma would go home.As a teenager I found their interactions funny.Alma wore dark colors,a hat of some sort, long pants which most women of her time did not do.I have a memory of her smoking a pipe but am not completely sure of that.My grandma would ask her why she wore those old dark man clothes and why she acted so different and so forth. They were as different as night and day.My grandma referred to her as "that Almey"They loved each other though. Alma was a colorful, strong independent women who lived life on her own terms. She didn't seem to put up with a lot of malarkey from anyone. In spite of appearing to be a little rough around the edges Alma was a kind person. She had a slick sense of humor and enjoyed her life. Almey had 5 brothers and was a mother of 9 children.Rest in peace Aunt Almey.
