BANKS, Henry Benton, 68, of Manchester, Tennessee died Sunday, September 28, 1997, following an extended illness at Coffee Medical Center, Manchester, Tennessee. A native of Coffee County, Tennessee he was the son of the late Elwood and Mary Frances Elrod Banks. He was preceded in death by his wife Vinita Irene Trail Banks. He was a former typesetter for a number of years for the Nashville Tennessean and a member of the Fredonia Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany from 1951 to 1953 as a Military Police. He is survived by two sons, Norman Eugene Banks, Manchester, Joseph Henry Banks, Manchester; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marga Marie and James David Rivenbark, Patricia Diana and William D. Shrader, Manchester; one sister, Maymie Ruth Thomas, Manchester; three grandchildren, Amy Michelle Rivenbark, Manchester, David Henry Rivenbark, Manchester, William Darrell Shrader, II, all of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1, 1997 at 2:00 P.M. at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Fredonia Cemetery, Coffee County with military honors. Manchester Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
