BANKS, Sr., Carl R. age 79, of Trenton, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1933 in Hyden, KY to Jim and Drue (Shepherd) Banks. He served our country in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He worked in the cold strip for Armco Steel for 34 years, retiring in 1990. Carl was a member of Middletown Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son; brothers, Paul, Clyde, Bill; sisters, Betty Bentley, Daisy Milam. Carl is survived by his wife, Sharon Banks of 56 years; sons, Randy (Joan) Banks, Tracy (Sherry) Banks, Carl "Ray" (Daphne) Banks Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, David Banks; sisters, Margie DeYoung, Jean Baker, Jenny Tennyson. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Minister David Stidham officiating.
