Mabel Francis (Patton) Banker
A Memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Hanford for Mabel Francis Banker, age 88, who died peacefully at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, she was the oldest daughter of Pearl and Robert Patton. She will be deeply missed by her three surviving sisters and their spouses, Leona and Merrill Wolhart, Rosemary and George Hoelzel, Marie Helmin and Her brother, Charles Patton.
Mabel was a longtime resident of Hanford and an active member of St. Brigid Catholic Church. Her many interests included bridge, bunco, gardening, cultivating friends, and collecting antique clocks.
In addition to her four siblings, Mabel is survived by four children and their spouses, Susan and Bill Barba, Paul and Robyn Banker, Jennifer Banker, and Richard and Margaret Banker; 12 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mabel is preceded in death by Joseph Banker, her loving husband of 48 years and their son, Steven Banker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Brigid Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.
