Albert G. Banik Rites Are Saturday
Mr. Albert Gustav Banik, of Crosby, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Thursday at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. He was born in Round Top, and a resident of the Dayton-Crosby area for the past 30 years. He was a farmer and blacksmith. He was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Crosby.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Dora Banik of Crosby; one son, Theodore F. Banik of Crosby; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Elfriede Matocha of Highlands; three brothers, Herman Banik of Waco; Fritz Banik, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and William Banik of Austin; four sisters, Mrs. Ottilie Rolke, Dayton; Mrs. Hulda Bluhm, West; Mrs. Helen Kablitz, Northeast, Penn.; and Mrs . Frieda Kern of Austin; and 8 grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, Crosby, with the Rev. William Bredemeyer officiating. Interment was in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton.
Pallbearers were Marshall Rolke, Joe Rolke, Orvel Bode, D. E. King, Joe Smesny, Johnny Zalezak, Carl Aucoin, and Randolph Rolke.
