"A funeral for Arthur Darius Bangs of Sheridan will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan. Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home will be open for visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Bangs died June 28, 2003, in Sheridan Care Center, Sheridan. He was 88.
He was born June 10, 1915, in Broken Bow, Neb. He worked as a milkman when he was very young, helping support his family for four years because his father was unable to work. The family moved to Oregon in 1938.

He served in the Army Medical Corps during World War II. He worked as a grader in Oregon lumber mills until his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and had taken them along on summer visits to Nebraska.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Jones of Sheridan; a brother, Howard Bangs of Warrenton, seven nieces and four nephews."
