Services for Clinton Eugene Bane Jr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Faith Presbyterian Church with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 13, from 3-6 p.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home and Monday, Oct. 14, from 1:30 p.m. to service time at the church.

Mr. Bane, 77, died Oct. 11, 2002, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Mather, Pa., on July 27, 1925, to the late Clinton Eugene and Mary Rebecca Riggle Bane.

He was a registered pharmacist and the owner of Bane Drug Store since 1954. He was a U.S. Air Corps veteran of World War II. Out of high school, he entered the Air Corps and served three years in India during the war. In 1949, he received his Bachelors of Science degree in biology from Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1952 he became employed as a pharmacist at Condon's Drug Store in Greenville.

He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Mississippi Pharmacists Association, the National Association of Retail Druggists and the Ole Miss Alumni Association since 1954. He was a longtime member of the the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and the Sons of the American Revolution.

Survivors are his wife, Doris Mae Allred Bane; sons, Clinton Eugene Bane III and Allen Allred Bane, all of Brookhaven; daughters, Beverly Bane Case of Brookhaven, Mary Ellen Bane of Oxford and Velma Bane Lea of Brookhaven; and eight grandchildren, John Alan Davis, Lindsey Marie Davis, Rosanna Belle Lea, Richard Grant Case Jr., Collins Bane Case, Hallie Bracknell Bane, Duncan McLaurin Bane and Patton Hood Bane.

Donations may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church at 400 Magee Drive, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
