BANDY, Charles Edwin, 82, of Pembroke, passed away at his residence Wednesday, January, 22, 2003. Born in Montgomery County on August 16, 1920, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Garnett, Hyatt and Emmett. He is survived by his wife, Moray Largen Bandy; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Genny Bandy of Pembroke; two daughters, Beverly and son-in-law, Kenny Jennelle of Pearisburg and Jill B. Clements of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Kim and Jason Jennelle, Paulin of Nashville, Tenn. and Opal Lewis of Wexford, Pa. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2003, in Birchlawn Abbey at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearsiburg with the Rev. Bill McClung officiating. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Posts 311 in Pembroke and 68 in Narrows and VFW Post 6000 in Narrows. Friends will be received at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke on Friday evening from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The family requests no flowers, but if anyone desires contributions may be made to Carilion New River Valley Hospice, 707 Randolph Street, Suite 251, Radford, Va., 24141, or Giles County Relay For Life through the Pembroke First United Methodist Church.
