OBIT - MRS AUGUSTA BANDT, 82, PIONEER RESIDENT DIES Augusta Amelia Fousch, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Fousch, was born at Germania, Marquette Co, on Oct 22, 1859. Death came suddenly at the family home in Coloma, at 9 o'clock Sun night, May 3, 1942. She had been as usual on this Sun, attending church and Sunday School and taking interest in the home affairs, her death was a great shock to her family and friends. On Jan 16, 1880, she was united in marriage at Coloma to Frank Edward Bandt. They have resided for all the years of their married life on the farm home near Pleasant Lake until Nov of 1941, when they came to reside in Coloma. Four children were born of this union, namely (Ida) Mrs Fred W King of Coloma, (Ella) Mrs W F Kuehn of Neilsville, Fred Bandt of Coloma, a son Gustave, passed away in 1916. Those left to mourn a loving wife and mother are the husband, Frank Bandt, the three children, also there are seventeen grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Her parents, three sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs Bandt was a faithful member of the Evangelical church of Coloma for the past 65 years. Her kindly ways and winning smile will be greatly missed. Funeral services were held at the home in Coloma at 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm at the Evangelical church in Coloma. Rev W R Maechtle, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev George Schiebl and Rev Henry Beck, officiated. During the services a quartet composed of Rev Maechtle, Frank Hamilton, Darwin King and Arthur King, sang "Look-Thee," in German. Miss Minnie King played for the singing. The lovely floral offerings were carried by great grandchildren, Virginia Bandt, Janie King, Wilma Erdmann, Wally King and Floyd King. The pallbearers were Gilbert King, Alvin King, Clarence Bandt, Gerald Schliepp, Harry Kuehn, George Kuehn, all grandsons. Burial was made in the cemetery at Coloma. Those who attended the services from out of town were Mrs William Bark of Rivillo, SD, Mrs Elsie Bradly and daughter, Hazel, Miss Ida Franklin, Sheboygan, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peglow and daughter, Marion, Beloit; Mr and Mrs Victor Fenner, Harvey Fenner, all of Ripon; Mr and Mrs Albert Marks, Rev and Mrs Henry Beck of Neshkoro; Mr and Mrs Wm Hoeft and son, Harley of Germania; Mr and Mrs Fred King, Mr and Mrs Marvin King of Germania, Rev Edward Law, Marion; Mr and Mrs. William Kuehn and three sons, Neilsville; Mr. and Mrs Clarence Bandt and children, Christy Wruck, Milwaukee; Mr and Mrs Wm Lentz and children, Oxford; Mr and Mrs August Janke, Oxford; Mr and Mrs Ernest Erdmann and family and Louella Meinke, Westfield.
CARD OF THANKS - We wish to thank the many relatives, friends and neighbors who helped us in the hour of our sorrow, the loss of our dear wife and mother, your kindness was greatly appreciated. We thank the pastors, flower girls, pallbearers, and pianist and the Hamiltons.
